The State Government does not have any plans to ban wood heaters, however wood heaters are not recommended in high density living, metropolitan areas as the smoke may impact on neighbours. Further information on woodheaters is available here.
Smoke or odour from wood heaters is managed by your local council under the Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act. Please find your local council here and contact them for advice or to lodge a complaint.
